Passing Out 03:11
I still hear the words. Speak open to me. We were young. I love you, I love you... Easier said than done. And I still read the note that you wrote for me the day you left. I try to understand, I try. I tried my best, but you're passing out you're passing out on me. The trees and the silence make me feel like I'm not alone. But we're all alone. You spent the night, and I spent on you all that I am. We held on tight hoping that this would never end. And it never ends, you're passing out. You're passing out again. The trees and the silence, they make me fee like I'm not alone, but we're all alone. We're all one together, aren't we all alone together? Yea we're all alone, and never alone. And I can't wait to see your face in the morning.

These are not my thoughts, but satan's very real and through idle time and steady hands his fingers start to peel away at your insides until you're all but skin and bone; left with nothing as your drifting in an ocean alone. And these are not my thoughts but Love is real too and it's inside each and every one of you. Holds us together, we might find hope for a better today forgetting tomorrow. These are not my thoughts but we are not completely broken, unopened locks remain at the bottom of that ocean, and I'll get pulled down by a single thread of rope and uncover the key so very seldom spoken of. So very seldom you speak up. Did I forget about you or did you forget about me? These are not my thoughts, but we're all gonna die! These are not my thoughts, but it's good to be alive. Well, these are my thoughts and I claim to know nothing about you. And I'd be lying if I said any of this were true.

In The Park 02:42
Where'd you come from? Where you goin'? Grab all the Parliaments, sit down and speak of all those thing of all those things that we believe. Afterwards we will walk, and we'll talk of all of it before you run back and give me one last kiss. Where'd you come from, where you goin'? Laid eyes across the room Call me crazy, I'll be in the park for you. It's getting dark and I fee a storm about to brew. I'll be waiting, watching trees shooting stars, talk about facing facts, I wish you were here in my arms Where'd you come from? Where you goin'? Laid eyes across the room. Where'd you come from? Where you goin'? You came from Love, and you're going right back to it.

Joe 04:20
Joe was right. Get over myself, forget reason and time, just write. It fees alright. Stolen light: it illuminates the the dark you don't wanna own. So just own your time. I remember when our dog used to bark at the mailman, and when our mother used to whistle us home. I take from under covers all those clothes that I forget about and wash them together with the ones that I don't. Hold my eyes, and share with me that seeming glimpse of light. For it is there all of the time. Let's compromise and find a common definition of what this is. Your veins in mine. The family's getting older and I haven't aged a bit. This heart, it remains tattered and these eyes are sunken in. My sister's settling down, she just had her first kid. I'm drunk on my bedroom floor alone again. And I remember when our dog used to bark at the mailman, and when our mother would whistle us home. I take from under covers all those clothes that I forget about. Wash 'em together with the ones that I don't. And I don't.

about

Given the winter the East Coast has just survived, it's appropriate to emerge from the bleakness with a record that eases out of its own icy shell. ManDancing's Everyone Else emerged in winter 2016, prior to political shifts at home and abroad, but carries no less weight than it did when quietly released online. In fact, this record from five New Jersey residents seems more potent than ever with its 2018 reissue. It's at once intimate and ferocious, a windswept combination of hushed pronouncements and gasped confessions.

On their upcoming EP Hands On 3, ManDancing’s emotional compass magnetizes to vocalist and rhythm guitarist Stephen G Kelly, whose voice wavers between confidence and catharsis. The spectral nature of his delivery is a genre in itself. It waxes elegiac on the alt-country sway as percussion spikes and splinters behind it, before breaking free into a desperate wail. It's this upward curve that carries the arrangements forward, a force that could explode any moment into something unpredictable, warped, yet altogether fitting of such visceral songwriting.

Above all, ManDancing promises a narrative that finds its characters trying to define their own independence. Is it more isolating than liberating? Amidst the haze of young adulthood, the beer cans, and the skipped house shows, ManDancing navigates what it's like to feel positively undone and unlimited at the same time. It's hard and it's an impossible thing, but it's always part of growing older.
